Synopsis (Summary) When an incident in life marks an impression that cannot be easily overcome with time, then it is wise to go on with it. Life must go on despite all its odds. Among the disparity, there is always a light of hope. JONGOM [... and the life goes on], the title of the film itself indulges the mobility of life. The film was made during Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the outbreak of coronavirus in India this year especially in West Bengal, its severity was lower than in many other countries. Although it had an impact on human life in many ways financially, physically, emotionally, psychologically and... Uma, a young dance teacher, the daughter of an almost fragile joint family from the countryside of West Bengal, India, returns to her ancestral home from abroad to get married to her fiance after a long courtship. Although the ancestral home is very rich in culture, its brick layers have many stories written in them. There is a curse, flowing as hidden, no desire ends as intended. The curse touches Uma too and traumatizes her. But will it make her stop? Will she become the victim of circumstances and give up? Will it be the final stop to her journey in life or just a pause? Uma comes out of the depressing environment as life means 'moving forward, but can she really come out? Doesn't the past exist with the present? The stories of life revolve around Uma and her struggle within herself. In fact, we can't draw lives in a straight line even if we want to, but we have to move on...
